Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th – BIG Little Gigs at Includfest, Durham

We are really looking forward to appearing at this year’s Includfest at Wharton Park in Durham, the Darlington Includfest was so much fun back in July, we’re looking forward to doing it all over again!  This family friendly festival will feature lots of fun activities, live music, crafts and dance and we will be there with our very exciting BIG Little Gigs Mini Pop Up Music Tent! Hope you can make it!!

Saturday 23rd September – BIG Little Gigs at The Festival Of Ingenuity, Darlington

We will be at Darlingon’s Festival Of Ingenuity making shakers and maracas for you and your little ones to shake to the brilliant live music happening at the Tracks stage throughout the day. There’s loads of free,fun,family friendly things going on, come along and enjoy! xx

Saturday 7th October – BIG Little Gigs at Jabberwocky Market featuring KID CARPET

For BIG Little Gigs’ 2nd Birthday we’re back at Jabberwocky Market, this time in the Roundabout – your little ones will have a once in a lifetime chance to enjoy our show from within this beautiful theatre in the round.
Kid Carpet will guide you through everything you need to know to be able to rock out big time. Even if it’s your first gig! Kid Carpet welcomes you to join in with games and songs whilst simultaneously inviting you to play table tennis, help catch a lost sandwich in space and take part in a grand dance contest.
All the best bits from Kid Carpet’s anarchic family shows have been mashed up and remixed to create the gig of the century. This lively, interactive and entertaining show contains a unique mix of live music, performance, comedy and ping pong balls. Classic tracks from Kid Carpet include: Gorilla, Doing a Poo in the Forest and Golden Eagle.
Having supported the likes of Arcade Fire, Electric 6, Willy Mason and more, this is definitely a BIG Little Gigs not to be missed!

Sunday 15th October- BIG Little Gigs and Darlington Film Club Present The Princess Bride 30th Anniversary Showing

BIG Little Gigs is taking a trip to the movies with Darlington Film Club to celebrate 30 years since the fantastic Princess Bride was released. “Fencing. Fighting. Torture. Revenge. Giants. Monsters. Chases. Escapes. True love. Miracles.” This timeless fairytale comedy is the perfect Sunday afternoon family film with Princess Buttercup, The Dread-Pirate Roberts, the best sword fighting scene you’ll ever see and lots of laughs along the way! Join us for fun pirates and princess crafts before the film and prizes for the best costumes, plus FREE popcorn!!

Saturday 28th October – BIG Little Gigs Halloween Special featuring Peg Powler at The Georgian Theatre, Stockton

Join us for some spooky, live music fun at one of the country’s oldest Georgian Theatre’s. Peg Powler play original folk music, blues and roots. Named after local folklore legend, the wicked witch of the River Tees Peg Powler, there will be brilliant family friendly live music,  spooky tales and yummy treats for anyone in halloween fancy dress!
